Window Installations: Perspectives of The Queen
Ice will be celebrating The Queen’s 90th Birthday with this unique art installation and works by HRH Prince of Wales.
On April 21st local Windsor businesses will come together to help celebrate the significant landmark of Her Majesty The Queen’s 90th Birthday.
To mark this historic occasion, visitors to The Gallery at Ice and Ice Brand Experience Agency will have an opportunity to view a unique self-commissioned ‘forced perspective’ art installation to celebrate The Queen’s 90 years as an iconic world figure.
“We’ve decided to feature our window installation on the morning of Her Majesty’s birthday and anticipated Windsor walkabout on April 21st as it symbolises the many different changing perspectives and accomplishments of The Queen during her lifetime.” Says Geoff Knapp, Director at Ice.
“Over time, we tend to form our own opinions and views on society, people and history. Our ‘Perspectives of The Queen’ installation encourages viewers to see beyond The Queen’s Crown and identify with the inspirational leader who is wearing it.”
Over the years, The Gallery at Ice has exhibited work from a number of high profile and famous artists such as Tracy Emin and Damien Hirst. Other works include ‘Windsor Castle’ and ‘Wensleydale from Moorcock’, two rare lithographs by HRH Prince of Wales, which will be on display during the summer festivities.
The ‘Perspectives of The Queen’ window installation will run from April 21st until June 12th. And for those of you who are not particularly art savvy but still want to join in the birthday celebrations, Ice will be giving away a selection of tasty, cleverly branded cupcakes to anyone walking through the door on April 21st.
